What You'll Do

As a Learning and Development Specialist at Saga Education, your role focuses on creating and delivering targeted learning initiatives that empower our educators and staff. By enhancing their skills and knowledge, you improve our implementation of High Impact Tutoring and align directly with our vision of education for all.

Reporting to the Learning and Development Manager, this role involves contributing to the creation, implementation, and delivery of various learning and development programs within our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Content Development:

  • Assist in developing engaging and effective learning content, including instructional materials, course outlines, and training aids.
  • Contribute to both soft skill and technical skill training content, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and learner needs.

Training Facilitation:

  • Help facilitate training sessions, workshops, and seminars, creating an engaging and interactive learning environment.
  • Support the logistics of training delivery, including scheduling, materials preparation, and technology setup.

Program Implementation:

  • Assist in the implementation of training programs, following the guidelines and standards set by the ADDIE model and the Learning and Development team.
  • Provide administrative support for learning initiatives, including tracking attendance, managing feedback, and maintaining training records.

SME Collaboration:

  • Coordinate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to ensure the accuracy and relevance of training content.
  • Help in gathering inputs and feedback from SMEs for continuous improvement of training programs.

Learning and Development Support:

  • Support the Learning and Development Manager and team in various L&D initiatives.
  • Participate in the evaluation of training effectiveness, contributing to post-training reports and analysis.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in related field
  • 2 years of experience facilitating, leading training programs, and creating training material
  • Experience with navigating Performance and Learning Management Systems
  • Understanding and experience implementing adult learning theory, preferred
  • Experience with instructional design, a plus
