Safepoint MGA, LLC is Hiring a Staff Accountant Intern Near Tampa, FL
- Prepare standard monthly journal entries for multiple entities
- Complete monthly bank account and balance sheet reconciliations as assigned
- Assist with preparation of Quarterly and Annual Statements
- Obtain all required approvals to ensure compliance with the company’s policies and internal controls
- Document and maintain Company process narratives
- Document cash processing controls and procedures
- Prepare assigned audit work papers
- Research and summarize accounting guidance to determine applicability to the Company
- Identify 1099 vendors and compile 1099 information to meet annual reporting requirements
- Assist other team members in the performance of their assignments and the overall goal of timely and efficient month end closings
- Special projects and other duties as assigned
- Ability to use computer and accounting systems to perform daily job duties
- Ability to interpret, file, and organize financial reports and data
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations and account/ledger balancing
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
- Plans to sit for the CPA exam
- Desire to learn as much as possible and work in a high growth dynamic environment
