Our Staff Accountant will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the company’s financial statements. This individual will be responsible for general ledger account reconciliations and creating and entering journal entries. In addition to these responsibilities, this individual will be involved with accounting related projects.

Position Responsibilities

• Prepare and enter journal entries.
• Prepare and analyze account reconciliations and propose adjustments as needed.
• Participate in monthly closing of general ledger to ensure accuracy. 
• Identify process improvements to create efficiencies with month-end close tasks.
• Monitor and record intercompany transactions. 
• Assist with payroll and benefits transactions.
• Support Shared Services team during Month End Close with reconciling accounts and recording journal entries as required.
• Perform ad hoc and special projects as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• 1-2 years of related experience preferred
• Able to work independently and in a team environment
• Proficient in MS Office products, particularly Excel, Access and Word. 
• Knowledge of Great Plains a plus.
• Strong communication skills including verbal and written
• Ability to work flexible hours when necessary
