Job Description

Director of Business Development is responsible for the following key functions:

1. Leading sales/business development activities for adjacent markets, outside of our existing core customer groups.

2. Management of our Highspot Sales Enablement platform, which is utilized across the sales organization.

3. Pursue/vet potential industry partnerships to create incremental revenue opportunities.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead sales activities and deliver budgeted revenue targets in the Team Dealer customer segment, through a team of 2 sales resources devoted to this segment on a full time basis.
  • Drive value to the sales and customer service organization through leadership of our Contract Decorator Network team.
  • Manage featured content in our sales enablement platform, ensuring relevance, quality and alignment with defined strategic revenue objectives.
  • Serve as collaborative partner with the rest of the sales management team in the development of sales tools across all key markets.
  • Serve as collaborative partner with our Marketing Department to ensure creative resources and other marketing support are aligned to strategic revenue objectives.
  • Serve as sales leader in researching newly identified adjacent markets and executing initial sales process to potential key customers.
  • Develop and maintain up to date market knowledge on 3rd party technology platforms, relevant to our industry and align resources internally to position S&S for success with their users.
  • Maintain expert level knowledge of company’s product offering and key go to market strategies.

Requirement

  • Business Development Director Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in sales, marketing, business development, and management.
  • Proficient in all Microsoft applications.
  • The ability to multitask.
  • Sound negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Working Environment

Currently, S&S has a remote work policy which provides for employees to be in the office Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays and work from home on Tuesdays and Thursdays, which is subject to change based on business need. Position location: Bolingbrook, IL.

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
