ADMISSION COORDINATOR

Citadel Care Center Kankakee is seeking an Admission Coordinator to join our team. This position will work closely with the Director of Business Development on bed management and the completion of preliminary paperwork for potential admissions. This position will need to have excellent written and oral communication skills and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service.

Admission Coordinator Responsibilities:

• Perform a comprehensive review of benefits including verification of patient responsibility
• Conduct insurance authorizations via health plan portals
• Will be responsible for completing background checks in accordance with State and Federal Regulations as well as obtaining necessary screenings and ensuring all compliance paperwork has been uploaded to our EMR.
• Will need to maintain excellent communication with the IDT team prior to admission/readmission to ensure the patient has a positive admission experience
• Will be responsible for creating resident medical records in PointClickCare
• Is responsible for managing bed census and communicating room readiness/room changes to housekeeping and maintenance.
• Oversee daily census activities, including clearing the dashboard in PointClickCare
• Provide facility tours
• Work with residents and families to complete resident contracts
