Responsibilities
Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion
Review the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs
Responsible for all safety planning associated with the project construction execution methods selection, with the support of the Project Manager and Site Health and Safety Manager
Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques
Work closely with engineers, architects, brokers, and asset managers on project specifications
Work with the team to share feedback and improve planning activities, including, but not limited to: -Vendor coaching and performance feedback through the schedule and quality recordable -Design quality, materials management, budget accuracy, and take-off accuracy
Collaborate with Process Improvement, Resource Planning and Purchasing in construction processes
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Architecture or Construction Management
5 years relevant experience
Advanced knowledge of construction management processes, means and methods
Expert knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations and quality standards
Understanding of all facets of the construction process
Familiarity with construction management software packages
Ability to plan and see the “big picture”
Competent in conflict and crisis management
Leadership and human resources management skills
Excellent time and project management skills
