Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
Quality Assurance: Implement rigorous quality control measures by collaborating closely with the Production Manager, and team to guarantee that all modifications meet the highest quality standards and safety regulations.
Site Management: Assist production team with on-site construction activities, including but not limited to coordinating subcontractors, conducting safety inspections, and monitoring project progress.
Documentation: Maintain meticulous organization and project documentation including but not limited to project plans, comprehensive reports, photographs, project folders, checklists, and design records to ensure information is properly tracked, stored, and easy to retrieve.
Material Procurement: Collaborate with the procurement manager and estimation team to ensure that each project has accurate construction materials, and equipment, emphasizing timely delivery and cost-effectiveness. Actively assist procurement by conducting research for prospective vendors that are needed to complete projects.
Cost Management: Monitor project costs and budgets daily and produce profit and loss statements weekly as well as weekly spending for assigned projects to ensure projects remain within financial constraints. Complete cost summary reports to be distributed to senior leadership team.
Mentorship: Mentor, train, and actively provide oversight to construction manager interns by sharing your expertise and contributing to their professional development.
Mandatory Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or Business AND (5) years of Project Management experience in Construction or related area OR
- The Project Management Professional Certification(PMP), and (5) years of Project Management experience in the construction field or related area.
- Extensive knowledge of Google Suite and ability to prepare custom spreadsheets without direction.
- Collaborative problem solver, with the ability to take charge and accountability for project decisions.
- Motivated self-starter with demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Able to multitask, prioritize workload, manage time, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Quick learner who can hold accountability with colleagues.
- Outstanding organizational skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Superior written and verbal communication skills.
- Willingness to work on construction sites and within steel manufacturing warehouses and adhere to safety protocols.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field AND (7) years or more of previous experience as a project manager.
Job Details:
- Full-time, salary employment with benefits
- Monday - Friday | occasional weekends/nights
- Reports to the Director of Operations
- Work will be performed in an office with frequent visits to the manufacturing floor. Some remote or site visits as needed
- Casual dress code
