Newly created Sr. Accountant position for the Acquisitions Accounting team of a publicly traded organization. This is a critical role within the organization as the Sr. Accountant will be the face of the parent company, working closely with acquired organizations from start to finish through their financial integration and educating them on policies and procedures. This is great opportunity to work on the full P& L. The company has completed over 20 acquisitions in the last 2 years and has a healthy pipeline. They also have double digit organic growth which combined with the acquisitions creates a dynamic, growing, and evolving business. This is a hybrid work environment with 2 days in office and 3 from home. The accounting department is a no drama, highly collaborative team that sticks together through stressful times. There is tremendous opportunity for personal and professional growth within the organization. Major responsibilities include but are not limited to:Communicating technical processes to non-accountants, providing guidance and understanding.Reconcile all Balance Sheet accounts and ensure they tie out monthly.Month end close process.Assist in the development, implementation of and monitoring adherence to company accounting policies and procedures.Identify, research and resolve corporate accounting, auditing, and operational issues.Perform intercompany entries and reconciliations.Develop and analyze internal monthly financial statements and year end audit financial statements/reports.Assist with financial audit preparation and responses including annual external audit, bank audits, 401K audit and other audits as required.Identify opportunities for process improvement.Assist with special projects to facilitate the effective functioning of the Finance Department.Please apply directly to this posting or contact Lee Chernett, VP at Robert Half Finance & Accounting, via LinkedIn or by calling 571.297.9074
