We are currently seeking an experienced HR Generalist to join our client's team on an interim basis and provide essential support in Benefits and People Operations. The ideal candidate should possess a solid understanding of benefits administration, be proactive, and have a hands-on approach to getting things done.
Location: San Leandro, CA
Duration: 3-6 months (possible conversion)
Responsibilities:
Benefits Administration:
- Provide expertise in benefits administration, including Q& A, updating HRIS employee data, and enrolling employees.
- Manage billing and invoicing related to benefits.
- Support open enrollment activities, including project management, scheduling OE meetings, compiling information, and processing hard-copy forms.
- Generate reports and analytics related to benefits.
Vendor Partnership/Management:
- Work with benefit vendors to understand plans and policies.
- Guide employees to the right resources.
- Assist in transitioning Leave of Absences (LOAs) from in-house management to vendors.
Compliance and Payroll:
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
- Conduct payroll audits as a second set of eyes.
- Cover payroll duties in the absence of the payroll administrator.
Project Management:
- Project manage and support 401k and ESOP audits.
Systems:
- Administer HRIS, including data reporting, auditing, and correction.
- Utilize ADP for benefits administration (experience with ADP is preferred but not mandatory).
Team Member Support:
- Respond to and meet with team members to address benefits-related questions.
- Manage Leave of Absences, tracking both in-house and maintaining ongoing communication with team members (approximately 4 at any given time).
Requirements:
- Proven experience in benefits administration and people operations.
- Strong project management skills with a hands-on approach.
- Familiarity with ADP or similar HRIS systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of compliance requirements in benefits administration.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
