Benefits Coordinator Part-time 16 hours | 2 days on-site in San Leandro, CA | 2- month contractRobert Half's client seeks a motivated individual for their team as a Part-time Benefits Coordinator. The primary responsibility of this role is to provide support for benefits administration and assist with various aspects of People Operations. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of benefits administration, be a hands-on and proactive problem solver, and possess excellent organizational and communication skills.Key Responsibilities:Benefits Administration:- Answer employee questions regarding benefits- Update HRIS employee data- Enroll employees in benefit plans- Assist with billing and invoicing related to benefitsOpen Enrollment Support:- Assist with project managing open enrollment process- Schedule open enrollment meetings- Compile information and process any hard-copy forms- Support with communication to employees regarding open enrollmentVendor Partnership/Management:- Work with benefit vendors to understand plans and policies- Guide employees to the right resources for benefit-related inquiries- Assist with transitioning Leaves of Absence (LOAs) from in-house to vendor managementCompliance and Auditing:- Ensure compliance with benefit regulations and policies- Conduct payroll auditing as a second set of eyes- Cover payroll duties when necessary due to staff absenceProject Management:- Support and project manage 401k and ESOP audits- Assist with various People Operations projects as neededSystems Management:- Administer HRIS system, preferably ADP- Generate reports and analytics as needed- Audit and correct data in HRIS systemTeam Member Support:- Meet with team members to address benefits questions and concerns- Manage Leaves of Absence (LOAs) and maintain ongoing communication with team members on leave statusQualifications:- Solid knowledge of benefits administration- Experience with ADP or similar HRIS systems preferred- Strong organizational and multitasking skills- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills- Ability to work independently and as part of a team- Detail-oriented and proactive approach to problem-solving
