Robert Half has partnered with a successful firm in finding an experienced Accounts Receivable (A/R) professional to join their growing team. To succeed in this role, you will enter, post and reconcile batches, research and resolve customer A/R issues, prepare aging report, place billing and collection calls, maintain cash receipts journal, update, and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L. This is a long-term contract / temporary to hire Accounts Receivable Clerk position and is based in the Los Angeles, California area.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Maintain bookkeeping spreadsheets, updating information as needed (AB and non‐AB daily logs, Tradewind submission log, and CFO daily billing report) • Manage AR – including incoming payments (checks/ACHs/websales), properly recording these into the system to maintain accurate bookkeeping records • Reconcile assigned bank account(s) • Ensure proper documentation is saved to designated shared folders in support of daily websales (Authorize.net and Shopify) and AB/factored payments (Tradewind daily reports) and non‐AB/direct customer remittance advices (Dollar Tree, Target, etc.) • Revenue reconciliation (Axapta vs Sales Dashboard) by case volumes • Research and act as liaison for accounting department to resolve AR issues with customers and vendors as related to AR deductions • Review AR Aging report on a weekly basis and communicate with customers to request payment and arrange payment plans for any past due balances • Maintain relationships with supporting departments, vendors, and customers to ensure timely and accurate processing of transactions • Perform on‐going audits of billbacks/deductions • Manage assigned month‐end and year‐end close activities including but not limited to posting journal entries (AP, prepaid assets, accruals, employee expense reimbursements, fixed assets depreciation/amortization, other recurring) • Support monthly financial reporting and preparation of monthly KPI's • Work closely with business units to develop and improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls • Prepare schedules with supporting documentation for annual external audits and tax related authorities • Complete special projects as needed • Participate in cross‐training to support team as needed • Perform daily billing of AB and non‐AB customers (including factored and direct accounts)
