Job Description
We are seeking a highly experienced Healthcare Program Manager to join our team as a key contributor in the successful execution and delivery of various health-related initiatives and programs in client organizations. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in healthcare, with a strong preference for those with healthcare-related legislative knowledge. The Program Manager will play a crucial role in orchestrating the planning, development, and implementation phases, ensuring that projects align with the overarching goals of our clients to improve patient care, enhance operational efficiencies, and meet regulatory standards.

As a Healthcare Program Manager, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Program and Project Management
- Provide program and project management support to a wide range of healthcare related tasks, including setting up and managing project team and/or workstreams, leading development of and track project deliverables, and closing out programs in support of an integrated Health Care System.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams comprising medical professionals, administrative staff, and external stakeholders to ensure program success.
- Implement risk management strategies to identify potential program obstacles and develop contingency plans to mitigate risks, particularly as they relate to new and existing healthcare-related legislation.
Implementation and Operations Support
- Support execution of legislative-driven healthcare programs and initiatives, ensuring they align with organizational goals and comply with regulatory standards.
- Contribute to the analysis and evaluation on program effectiveness through data analysis and performance metrics, making adjustments to improve outcomes and efficiency.
- Oversee the development and distribution of program-related educational materials and training sessions for both staff and participants.
Required Education, Skills, and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in health administration, Public Health, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in planning, initiating, managing, executing, and closing out programs and projects in healthcare or healthcare-related settings.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience supporting a large corporation or government agency.
- Experience in developing project management resources, including slide decks, dashboards, briefings, agendas, and other deliverables.
- Knowledge of recent healthcare-related legislation and policy and the ability to identify implications for healthcare organizations and practice.
- Experience collaborating with high-level stakeholders and ability to develop action plans and recommendations based on specific feedback
- Experience in overseeing personnel and managing teams, preferably in a consulting environment.
Preferred Education, Skills, and Experience
- Experience applying and advising health-related legislation in the design and implementation of healthcare programs preferred.

- Security Requirements: Ability to obtain and maintain a public trust clearance (i.e. must be US Citizen or Permanent Resident who has resided in US for past three years consecutively)
- Must be willing to live in the DC Metro area
- Must be willing to operate in hybrid environment, including work in-person at client site in DC Metro area and at Rios Partners office in Arlington, VA as needed (final schedule determined by team and project)

- Profit-sharing/Performance Bonus: Rios Partners is committed to ensuring the success of the organization benefits the entire team. As such, a portion of profits is paid out to employees. The total amount of Profit-Sharing/Performance Bonus distributed to the team may vary year to year and will depend on numerous factors, including market conditions, company performance, and individual performance.
- Retirement plan: Rios Partners offers a 401(k) and contributes an amount equivalent to 3% of the employee’s base salary each month to the designated fund. Employees may choose to contribute additional money into the 401(k) from their paycheck each month.

- Dental insurance: Rios Partners covers 90% of the premium for both the employee and their dependents for dental insurance plan through Guardian. (Please see the “Rios Employee Benefits” section of the “Join Our Team” page to review the dental insurance policy documents.)
- Disability insurance: Rios Partners will pay 100% of the premium for both short-term and long-term disability insurance provided through Guardian.
- Paid Time Off (PTO) and holidays: You will be eligible for three weeks of PTO (15 days) and 12 paid holidays each year. In additional accrued PTO, Rios Partners provides additional time off for both expected and unexpected events (e.g., Bereavement Leave, Jury Duty, Voting).
- Maternity, Paternity, and Adoption Leave: Rios Partners celebrates employees’ choice to become parents. We are also aware that pregnancy and caring for an infant or a newly adopted child may cause additional life complexities. As such, we provide employees twelve (12) weeks of paid leave in association with the birth of an employee’s own child or the placement of a child with the employee in connection with adoption or foster care. To be eligible for Maternity/Paternity/Adoption Leave Program, team members must: 1) Have worked at Rios Partners full-time for a minimum of 12 continuous months. 2) Be in good employment standing with Rios Partners (i.e., not on probation). 3) Request leave a minimum of 30 days in advance if possible. If this is not possible, please place your request as soon as possible once you become aware of it. Regardless of eligibility for the Rios Partners Maternity/Paternity/Adoption Leave Program, all Rios Partners employees are eligible for the Department of Labor’s Family and Medical Leave Act entitlements as well as Rios Partners Short Term Disability plan.
