OrthoCarolina is seeking a qualified professional to join our team as the Accounts Payable Clerk to join our Accounting team. The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for verifying, reconciling and processing invoices according to established policies and procedures in an accurate, efficient and timely manner. Other duties may include:

• Keeps track, processes and reconciles payments and expenditures, including invoices, statements, check requests, etc. in compliance with financial policies and procedures.
• Disburses petty cash by recording entry; verifying documentation.
• Reviews invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment.
• Matches invoices to checks, obtain all signatures for checks and distribute checks accordingly.
• Maintains company vendor files.
• Maintains accounts payable reports, spreadsheets and corporate accounts payable files.
• Assists with 1099 filing.
• Cross checks other team members' batches.
• Responds to vendor inquiries.
• Works independently and as a team member.
• Assists with process improvements.

Education required:

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.

Experience required:

• 2 years of accounts payable experience.
• Proficient in Excel and Word, 10-key by touch.
• Experience with Great Plains Accounts Payable systems, a plus.
