We are a growing Indianapolis-based contractor/manufacturer searching for a high-performing Controller to join our leadership team. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented problem solver who is strategic and inspires high performance of others on the team.

Job Responsibilities

• Oversee the accounting process for banking, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, p l accounting by project, and compliance.
• Manage the activities of the two-person accounting staff
• Deliver timely and accurate monthly results reporting to management
• Manage technical accounting questions and updates
• Prepare forecast and annual budgets
• Review / analyze budget variances and propose corrective actions
• Manage banking relationships and professional insurance carrier relationships
• Review project profitability with the Operations team and address corrective actions as needed
• Work with outside CPA firm and external consultants as needed
• Multi-state Sales & Use tax filings
• Perform special projects for the Leadership team as needed

Experience

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting / finance roles preferably in construction service organizations
• High proficiency in Quick Books and Microsoft Excel
• Tech savvy
• Experience with working with leadership teams
• Experienced business partner, skilled in building trust and inspiring others
