JOB TITLE: CONTROLLER

REPORTS TO: President

JOB SUMMARY

The Controller oversees our company’s financial planning and accounting operations. An accomplished accountant who is proactive with company finances but will also be commercially aware and provide advice on the best growth path for our business. The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator with outstanding interpersonal and leadership abilities whose primary goal will be to guide the company toward profitability and success.

JOB DUTIES

1. Oversee the financial strategic planning of the company by evaluating its performance and potential risks.

2. Perform regular financial analyses.

3. Develop budgets that meet the requirements of company departments

4. Establish targets and manage all accounting and finance employees, including management accountants and internal auditors

5. Supervise all audit and internal control processes

6. Prepare detailed reports on the company’s financial performance

7. Guarantee compliance with financial laws and guidelines

8. Recognize patterns in company spending, and revenue and recommend solutions to any problem areas

9. Coordinate with external financial entities on behalf of the company.

QUALIFICATIONS

1. Minimum BS/BA degree in business management or related field

2. 6 years’ experience in an operations management role in a manufacturing environment

3. 2 years’ experience in a job shop environment overseeing inventory and cost accounting

4. Strong Excel skills, both in data manipulation and extraction from ERP system

6. Proven experience leading lean improvement initiatives with objective results

7. Excellent management skills, including time management and delegation

8. Proven history of developing personnel and creating high-performance work teams

9. Unwavering commitment to quality and data-driven problem-solving

10. Acton-oriented, entrepreneurial, flexible, and innovative approach to operational management

11. Passion, humility, integrity, positive attitude, mission-driven, and self-directed

12. Strong written and verbal communication skills; a persuasive and passionate communicator with excellent public speaking skills
