Lencore Acoustics is seeking an experienced Controller to lead our finance team. The controller will direct the financial operations of the company which include financial planning, reporting, budgeting, and oversight of accounts receivable, accounts payable, inventory, prepaids, and cash flow management.
This role will interface with senior leaders of the company and manage the finance team to provide high quality financial support to both internal and external constituents. This position will report directly to VP Finance, Lencore and be located in our Indianapolis corporate headquarters. A hybrid work environment is supported. Some travel to the Lencore office in Huntington, NY will be required, especially in the first six months to learn the business and meet key stakeholders.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for month-end reporting and financial statement close process, including budget to actual variance analysis.
• Create, implement and oversee financial controls for the finance department as well as the organization, ensuring compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements.
• Leads the annual budgeting and quarterly forecast process
• Analyze and review company budget; identify trends
• Oversee cash-flow management process
• Create functional monthly/quarterly/annual and ad-hoc financial reporting
• Using historical and budgeted information, provide regular inventory forecasts and cash flow requirements
• Provide weekly metric reporting for our 3rd party manufacturers.
• Coordinate periodic cycle counts to confirm accuracy of physical inventory levels in SAP
• Oversee Accounts Payable responsibilities relating to sales tax, commissions and vendor liabilities
• Lead finance contact for annual audit
• Identify areas of improvement and make actionable suggestions
• Manage and develop other members of the finance team

Required Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in accounting/finance
• 8 years of experience in accounting/finance
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment, preferably with electronics products.
• Advanced Excel skills (intimate knowledge of Pivot tables, vlookups, and other financial formulas).
• Knowledge of SAP Business One or other versions of SAP
• Progressive, positive leadership and management experience
• Team player – be able to work within the finance department as well as with our design and sales teams
• Independent worker – be able to move projects forward with little or no intervention and understand when to ask for help
• Highly organized and able to maintain high level of accuracy, strong analytical skills with attention to detail
• Effective communication skills with the ability to interact with senior and entity leadership
• Ability to lead projects
• Problem solver

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Preference for Certified Public Accountant with experience working in SMB manufacturing environment preferably with electronics products
• Big 4 Public Accounting background preferred
• Strong experience with PL/SQL or another SQL
• Skills or experience automating aspects of reporting are desirable

Education:

• BS in Accounting/Finance is required
• Additional accreditations are a plus. MSF, MAcc or CPA
• Advanced experience in SAP, Microsoft Office, SQL
• Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
