• Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports and statements.
• Oversees payroll, quarterly payroll tax returns, a/p, a/r, and other standard accounting functions.
• Closes month end books and provide analysis for management.
• Prepares forecasts and manages cash on short-term and long-term basis.
• Works with outside public accounting firm to produce year-end financial statements and multi-state tax returns.
• Ensures company’s compliance with all insurance requirements and works with agents to quote and monitor needed coverages.
• Manages accounting, payroll, and administrative personnel.
• Maintains and improves accounting policies, procedures, and controls.
• Provides feedback and suggestions on problem areas.
• Create job profitability reports for department managers including allocations of reasonable burden rates by department.
• Research, track and develop systems for multi-state compliance for state registration, licensing, sales/use tax, payroll tax and income tax.
• Performs or oversees human resource functions for the company including creating competitive compensation and benefit packages, new hire onboarding, evaluation processes, and various compliance matters.
• Works with legal counsel on customer and subcontractor contract review, lien waiver law, and corporate records.
• As supervisor for administrative staff, assistance with office technology management and troubleshooting may apply.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting. Master’s degree or CPA experience is highly preferred.
• Construction industry accounting, tax treatment, job costing, and contract law is preferred.
• Proficient in QuickBooks and MS office including Excel.
• Strong prioritization and organizational skills.

Work Location: In-person at Office, based on job requirements and workload there will be flexibility to work remote.
