Summary of Description:
This position is responsible for managing engineering related projects. Project Managers will also be responsible for ensuring projects are completed and meet the defined requirements/ budgets.
Duties:
Education and Experience:
A Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an accredited University with at least ten (10) years of experience in industrial work including but not limited to refinery, petrochemical, chemical, offshore, pipeline or utility industries; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.

ReCon is hiring a Project Manager II with a BS in Engineering and at least 10 years of experience in the industry. The Project Manager II is responsible for managing small to medium size projects with focus on helping move the portfolio of work in a timely manner to satisfy stakeholders needs. The Project Manager will work closely with Project Controls in supplying information to accurately report on project cost and schedule. This position works a 9/80 schedule.
Job Responsibilities:
• Manage multiple site projects up to 10 million USD from idea generation through start-up and completion.
• Lead interdisciplinary teams through the scope development and design process to ensure completeness and minimize impact from changes.
• Manage project cost and schedule. Pursue opportunities to add project value through the application of Value Improving Practices.
• Develop and implement execution and contracting strategies to effectively meet project objectives.
• Ensure project compliance with corporate governance requirements.
• Manage the Change Management Process and maintain safety focus over the life of the project.
• Ensure project compliance with company and industry standards and specifications, as well as, HSE and PSM requirements.
Experience/Education Requirements:
• Minimum B.S. in Engineering or related field.
• Experience in managing projects in PSM regulated petrochemical or refining industries, 10 years preferred.
Technical Knowledge and Skills:
• Excellent interpersonal, teamwork, leadership, written, and verbal skills.
• Ability to work with a wide variety of personnel and stakeholders at different levels of engineering, design, maintenance, operations, and management as well as corporate or global stakeholders.
• Knowledge of stage gate project development and execution process.
• Knowledge of project management processes, principles of project controls, including cost, schedule and risk management, and project best practices.
• Knowledge of Primavera scheduling software and Icarus estimating software preferred.
• Knowledge of SAP system or similar enterprise accounting system.
