Position Overview
The Human Resources Generalist will partner with leadership teams and employees within assigned areas of coverage to address questions and concerns regarding HR-related policies and procedures, promote company culture, and provide guidance and support to foster a positive work environment.
This role performs professional level human resources work and carries out responsibilities in one or more functional areas, such as staffing, employee relations, compensation, training, employment, and safety. The HR Generalist also performs administrative work involving the human resources functions and maintains related records; develops and improves policies, programs, and procedures to improve the effectiveness of HR and Operations.

Duties and Responsibilities
Supervisory Responsibility
No direct management or supervisory responsibilities.
Safety
Observe safety and security policies and procedures, including proper use of PPE (personal protective equipment); report potentially unsafe conditions; and use equipment and materials properly. If Applicable, follow any job-specific or department-specific safety requirements.
Travel
Approximately <5% travel is required. Limited travel as required to visit Quaker facilities and attend recruiting/networking events.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30/4:00 PM. Business needs may require flexibility in schedule due to the need to support multiple shifts. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. Consistent and regular attendance is required as an essential job function. These hours are subject to change based upon company needs.

This is primarily an office job and largely a sedentary role; however, the position requires the ability to climb stairs, lift files, open filing cabinets, bend or stand as necessary. The employee may occasionally be required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
It is an essential job function and safety rule, applicable to every employee working in a safety sensitive classified position, to be able to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
Work Environment
This role operates in a professional office environment. This position routinely uses standard office equipment such as a computer, phone, printer and file cabinets. Although the employee will primarily be in an office setting, while performing the duties of this job, the employee may need to visit the factory and be exposed to climactic variations, various levels of vibration, and moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the office is usually low, but hearing protection may be advisable or required for prolonged visits to certain parts of the factory.
