Salary: $1800 - $1900 semi-monthly

• Salary may be commensurate of education and/or experience

Job Location: This position is with the Missouri Department of Natural Resources, Division of Administrative Support, Human Resources Program, and will be located at the Lewis & Clark State Office Building, 1101 Riverside Drive, Jefferson City, MO 65101.

What you’ll do:

• Assist with recruitment efforts for the department which includes posting job opportunities in MOCareers, performing eligibility reviews of candidates, and onboarding new team members
• Enter, monitor and oversee Worker’s Compensation claims and ensure policies are followed
• Assist with FMLA and ADA claims as needed
• Process team member and position actions within SAM II HR
• Provide assistance to team members with benefits, retirement, payroll issues, or any other questions they may have
• Participate in our Division Placemat, projects and or strategic Initiatives.
• Prepare written correspondence for various purposes

All you need for success:

Minimum Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university

OR

• 2-4 years of relevant experience in Human Resources, customer service or other closely related field and possession of a high school diploma or proof of high school equivalency

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of federal and state laws as they relate to human resources
• Working knowledge of Statewide Advantage for Missouri (SAM II HR)
• Working knowledge of Excel and Access
• Experience in customer service
