Job Description – Safety Program Coordinator General Description The Safety Program Coordinator will assist in developing, implementing, and make continuous improvements to support the safety program management within the organization. Duties • Assists safety program manager in documenting progress of new project pursuits and coordinating project proposal communications and deliverables for bid deadlines. • Participates in project and program meetings to aide in meeting client requirements for contract deliverables. • Assists safety program manager in tracking, developing, and formatting safety deliverables for new projects. • Works collaboratively to develop project specific orientations and microlearning trainings. • Coordinates updates to internal safety share point site for Field safety leads. • Assists in tracking project safety assessment improvement strategies and coordinating scheduling of follow up visits. • Assists safety program manager in project tracking and compiling monthly reports for executive updates. • Documents weekly internal safety meeting minutes. • Helps to coordinate safety teambuilding with lead safety administrator. • Provides support and resources to project level field safety leads. • Responsible for internal safety document management and organization. • Cross trains to aide in managing subcontractor vetting systems such as Avetta, ISNetworld etc. to provide support for multi-operating unit projects that require vetting and case management subcontractors. • Reviews current safety training and recommends revisions, improvements, and updates. • Performs any other duties assigned. • Adheres to internal standards, policies, and procedures. Required Experience and Education • High school diploma, or equivalent • 2 years’ experience in a role within an organization; specifically cultivating strong document management and communication skills. Preferred Experience and Education • Bachelor’s degree in safety related or another field. • OSHA 30 certification • AED/CPR/First Aid training/certifications Skills • Self-starter • Ability to work well independently, as well as part of a team. • Strong problem evaluation/solving skills. • Ability to demonstrate attention to detail. • Ability to interact effectively and professionally with other team members. • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office) • Strong organizational and time management skills • Strong communication skills (verbal and written) Travel Requirements • Travel: Yes • Percent of Time: Up to 20%
