Full Job Description:

The role of the Relationship Manager will be based in the New York area and will work closely with and report to our Director of Operations. The Relationship Manager is a key role in the Polaris Business Advisors organization. PBSA is looking for an experienced individual who can manage existing client relationships and assist in developing new strategies focused on client retention and success all while ensuring an outstanding client experience, adherence to the regulatory, legal and risk management frameworks.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Create and develop relationships with individuals across the country
  • Meet daily metrics and monthly targets to achieve goals
  • Build collaborative internal and external relationships to provide the best in client advice and service, develop the business to ensure a seamless experience
  • Manage a portfolio of clients; grow portfolio by prospecting for new opportunities and deepening relationships with existing clients.
  • Reach out to clients who have missed program payments and work with business owners to ensure they stay on tract towards success in their program
  • Bi-Weekly check-ins with Business owners to provide progress updates, answer any questions, and identify additional needs that are aligned with the client’s financial needs
  • Onboard new clients into CRM and ensure all notes are entered and up to date
  • The Relationship Manager will be a liaison between the Business owner and PBSA network
  • Enter restructuring/ settlement payments in CRM

Qualifications:

  • A hunger for success, positive attitude, and desire to learn from industry leaders
  • Strong active listening skills, empathetic and a consultative ear
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced growing environment
  • Experience using excel and a CRM is a plus
  • Strong communication skills with individuals at all levels, internally and externally.
  • Self-starter who is motivated to become a leader within the team and has had personal success and professional success

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required
  • 2 or more years experience in banking relationship management role or related business lending experience
  • Merchant Cash Advance experience or good understanding of industry
  • Minimum of one year in Business Debt Settlement and Business Finance Services or any relevant role
