As the Service Manager at TechniBlend, you will contribute to the success of the company by leading the field service team, while combining your technical expertise and interpersonal skills to provide our clients with best-in-class service. In this role, you will…

  • Lead and manage a field technical service team in providing superior service.
  • Install, commission/train, maintain & repair processing equipment.
  • Develop reports in keeping with company reporting mechanisms.
  • Plan and schedule service activities to meet customer demands and deadlines.
  • Develop, implement and maintain service contracts.
  • Assist in goal setting, skill enhancement and performance review activities for field service staffs.
  • Develop and champion programs to improve technical and customer service skills of service staffs.
  • Ensure company policies and procedures are followed by the team members.
  • Implement quality assurance measures to maintain high service standards.
  • Monitor and own customer service case system for response time and performance to achieve corporate objectives.
  • Address customer inquiries, resolve issues and obtain customer feedback proactively.
  • Develop and Implement service campaigns to promote new technology/offerings/enhancements.
  • Maintain positive and healthy relationships with various teams to ensure customer service effectiveness.
  • Carry out test specifications/plans/checklists to ensure quality and performance of equipment.
  • Recruit and onboard service technicians to support company growth.
  • Monitor and control service costs to ensure budgetary compliance.
  • Collect and present data to management on resource utilization and performance to budget.
  • Collaborate with engineering and technical teams to provide expertise in resolving complex technical issues, prestart up meetings, post mortems, and driving correct actions.
  • Manage service department resources, including tools, equipment, and inventory.
  • Ensure that service operations comply with industry regulations and company standards.
  • Prepare service quotes for field work and spare parts.
  • Keep current on trends from both market & technical standpoints.
  • Enter service information in the system and take to invoice.
  • Provide and manage 24 hour on-call availability.
  • Liaison between customer service & technicians.

Who we’re looking for?

  • Experience in the repair & troubleshooting of electro-mechanical equipment.
  • Proven experience growing the size and technical ability of a service department.
  • Experience leading a team of traveling technicians and managing service budgets.
  • Continuous improvement mindset with a track record of results/implementations
  • Computer literacy, esp. with MS Office.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Engineering, Business, etc.) or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in a service management role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities that apply to all facets of internal and external organizations.
  • Technical knowledge related to the company's products and services.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
