Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Head Chef in a very busy steakhouse. A salary position (based on experience) and nights only.
This is a "Lead" position with responsibilities. The Head Chef will oversee kitchen operations, manage food preparation, and ensure high-quality dishes are served to our guests.
Duties:
- Lead and supervise kitchen staff in food preparation and cooking activities
- Create innovative menus and recipes while maintaining high standards of quality
- Manage inventory, order supplies, and control food costs
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and sanitation guidelines
- Train and mentor kitchen staff on culinary techniques and best practices
- Collaborate with management to plan special events and catered functions
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or similar role in a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team
- In-depth knowledge of culinary techniques, kitchen management, and food safety standards
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
