We are currently seeking qualified candidates to join our Accounting Department located at our headquarters in Cleveland, OH!

We have an immediate opening for an Accounting Manager that will report to the Controller.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Accounting Manager ensures the company’s financial records remain accurate while meeting reporting deadlines. This individual is responsible for accurately planning, coordinating, and supervising the daily operations of the accounting department - including AP, AR, payroll, inventory, and cost accounting - while maintaining compliance with all applicable rules and regulations.

MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES (not all inclusive):
· Collaborate with and provide accounting guidance to various Corporate departments.
· Review financial results and resolve inquiries in a timely manner.
· Responsible for timely and accurate monthly and year-end close process including, journal entry review and approval, schedule submission, and account reconciliation and approval. Analyze financial results and investigate variances as required.
· Ensure all required deadlines are met and respond quickly to all follow-up questions. Provide meaningful analysis to explain variances and other audit requirements as necessary.
· Positively lead and influence the Accounting team, and establish and manage individual performance objectives for the team.
· Provide hands-on assistance as a working manager to assist the Accounting team with completion of routine responsibilities.
· Maintain balance sheet reconciliations.
· Maintain records necessary for Federal, State, and Local Income Tax filings
· Assist with Annual Operating Plan development and updates.

Requirements

· A minimum of 5 years accounting experience preferably in a manufacturing setting.

· Bachelor's degree is required (Accounting or Finance is preferred). 

· Demonstrated experience in managing AP, AR, Inventory and Payroll (Paylocity experience is a plus). 

· Strong in cost accounting.

· Understanding of ERP systems; preferably Syteline experience.

· Exceptional professional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

· Strong leadership skills.

· Ability to participate in and facilitate group meetings.

· Prior change management experience a plus.
