The Advisory Accounting Specialist position within the Retirement & Investment Solutions department at CBIZ, Inc. will demonstrate a thorough understanding of the billing and accounting processing function as it pertains to the Investment Advisory Services business unit. The Accounting Specialist can provide financial, analytical and administrative services to ensure effective, efficient, and accurate financial and administrative operations. The Accounting Specialist will facilitate timely invoicing as well as reporting for CBIZ clients. Their duties are performed in a high-volume environment with deadlines utilizing solid time management skills.

Essential Functions and Primary Duties:* Responsible for the preparation of the Advisory monthly accounts receivable and revenue accruals.* Preparation of the monthly AR Aging report with detailed review and follow-up of anything over 90 days past due.* Responsible for collection of past due invoices or escalating to management as needed.* Timely resolution of all discrepancies such as revenue received without an open receivable.* Ensure timely updating of plan asset values for accurate invoicing.* Review all new Advisory agreements to ensure client launch form and service agreements match internal database.* Liaison with contracting team to ensure proper compliance with revenue/invoicing.* Responsible for monthly/quarterly/annual billing and cash application for Advisory.* Create, maintain and update process documentation as necessary.* Contact fund companies and intercompany offices in order to resolve issues.* Additional responsibilities as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications:* Accurate and timely preparation of the Advisory monthly accounts receivable and revenue accruals.* Detailed review of the Advisory monthly accounts receivable and revenue accruals.* Accurate and timely weekly cash application.* Timely resolution of all discrepancies and notification to management when help is needed for resolution.* Timely review, follow up and collection of past due invoices.* Review outstanding issues weekly with the Investment Strategies Controller and the Defined Contribution Services Controller to make sure these items are resolved quickly.* Full understanding of the Advisory product line within RIS.* Timely and accurate review of all new Advisory contracts to make sure all systems are set up correctly.* Exceptional customer service to the field relating to all billing and cash receipts questions/concerns.* Ability to meet assigned deadlines and prioritize multiple tasks.* Highly detail oriented and organized in work.* Ability to work well with all members of the finance team and field business units.

Minimum Qualifications Required:
* Bachelor's degree preferred
* 3 Years of experience as a subject matter expert
* Must maintain current required licenses and certifications relevant to field of expertise
* Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally and externally
* Effective customer service skills
* Proficient use of applicable technology
* Ability to work in team environment as well as independently
* Ability to analyze and prioritize multiple responsibilities
