Description

The ideal candidate will be responsible for completing assigned work orders and general maintenance requirements for our managed properties. Must be capable of diagnosing problems, interacting with tenants & homeowners, producing high quality notes and providing excellent service. Experience with drywall repairs, painting, plumbing, window and door troubleshooting, minor electrical fixture installations and similar.

Requirements

• Familiarity and proficiency with a variety of hand and power tools.
• Safely works from ladders.
• Performs a variety of repairs/maintenance, including but not limited to, troubleshooting bath fixtures and identifying appropriate replacement parts to order, investigate and resolve leaks, replace supply lines when necessary to sinks, troubleshoot hot water heater issues, drywall repair, caulking, etc.
• Inspect vacant properties and thoroughly complete turn over for next tenant, inclusive of touch up paint.
• Follows specific operations and maintenance guidelines for site specific equipment.
• Keeps tools and equipment in good operating condition.
• Update work order notes using Appfolio in real time at the conclusion of each service call.
• Respectful demeanor and high level of professionalism in order to interact with tenants and homeowners
• Monday to Friday. Potential for seasonal overtime or on-call opportunities.

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Five years of service maintenance experience.
• Prior experience in construction, plumbing, HVAC or similar such trades.
• Wide breadth of construction and maintenance knowledge.
• Driver's License
• OSHA 10 and other safety training is a plus

• Anticipate a variety of working conditions, including inclement weather and occupied homes.
• The employee is regularly required to use hands to handle, feel or operate objects, tools or controls and reach with hands and arms.
• The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
• The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds.
