Willow Terrace is looking for an Assistant Director of Maintenance with preferably experience in the healthcare industry, more specifically, long term care and retirement community.

The Assistant Director of Maintenance is responsible for:

To assist and work under the direction of the Facilities Director to provide a safe and clean trouble free living environment for residents, staff and visitors.

To assist in maintaining HAVC, Plumbing and/or Electrical equipment in efficient operations and the principals of good engineering practices. To decorate and protect interior and exterior surfaces, trimmings, and fixtures of the Premier Washington property.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

· Assist and work under the direction of the Facilities Director

· Assist in planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating the Maintenance Department in its policies and procedures

· Regular inspections of the facility for safety and appearance

• Assist in scheduling & ensuring completion of all maintenance & repairs
• Oversee maintenance repairs and ensure contracted services are completed in a timely manner
• Must be able to assist in maintaining HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems/equipment
• Assist in maintaining records of repairs, preventative maintenance, and inspections
• Be part of the Maintenance on call rotation

REQUIREMENTS:

• 2 years experience in electric, carpentry & general maintenance.
• 2 years experience in long term care 
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to be personable with residents, staff and visitors
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel
• Ability to multi-task and stay focused in stressful situations
• Solid leadership and supervision skills
• Previous Healthcare Experience required
