The Portland Foot and Ankle team of five podiatrists, patient care coordinators and administrative staff is committed to the goal of treating each patient with the same level of care we would expect ourselves if we were the patient.

Job Functions:

* Greets and welcomes patients as they arrive for appointments

* Answering phones/scheduling appointments

* Check in patients, ensuring patient has completed a health history form, and all applicable intake forms. Captures correct insurance and billing information. Utilizes appropriate signal system to alert the x-ray tech/medical assistant that patient is ready to be roomed.

* Assist with general incoming paperwork and organization to make sure information makes it to the proper place in a timely manner. Disburse faxes to the appropriate area and scan into the patient chart.

* Checks patients out at the conclusion of their appointment, collecting appropriate co-pay and booking follow up appointments as directed by the doctor.

* Balances the cash drawer at the end of the day.

* Assist Administrative Staff as necessary. Including but not limited to Billing Support and Surgical Scheduling.

* Referrals Incoming/Outgoing

* Other projects to be assigned

* Prepares charts for the next day's appointments.
