Portland Community College is seeking to fill a full-time Office Assistant (OA II) position within the Academic and Career Pathway Guidance (ACPG) Division. This position performs a wide variety of office and administrative functions, primarily in support of Pathway Advising and Career Services, including basic knowledge and referrals to Student Accounts, Enrollment Services, Orientation, Testing and many other areas within Student Services.
The Office Assistant may be one of the first contacts to students when they arrive at PCC. In addition, the Office Assistant may support students, staff, or faculty with initial problem-solving, triaging situations, and connecting to college resources as needed.
Proficiency in the full range of general office services and functions as well as specific technical knowledge, especially in the area of database and confidential reporting is desired. In addition, this position is responsible for training and scheduling of student staff to provide peer-to-peer engagement and development supporting student success.
This position reports directly to and works closely with the Pathway Guidance Manager (PGM).

The ASR contains current security and safety-related policy disclosure statements, emergency preparedness and evacuation information, crime prevention and sexual assault prevention information and resources, and drug and alcohol prevention programming. The ASR also contains crime statistics for Clery Act crimes which occurred on PCC properties for the last three calendar years.
