The Director of Human Resources is part of the Organizational Development (OD) leadership team with oversight and responsibility for all HR functions at PPSAT. In partnership with the Vice President of OD and the Director of Training you will provide your HR expertise to ensure the OD department is positioned to be an advocate, partner, and consultant to both management and employees.

Enjoy working with managers in navigating employee engagement and/or employee relations issues.

What you’ll do: (but not limited to)

Partner with the VP of (OD) to ensure PPSAT’s compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and compliance with requirements for training, credentialing of staff, and PPFA accreditation related to Human Resources.

Consults with department heads and employees, providing HR guidance as appropriate.

Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the VP of OD to develop solutions, programs and policies.

Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations.

Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with the VP of OD and employment attorney as needed/required.

Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).

Provide oversight of the performance management process ensuring alignment with PPSAT’s In This Together culture, open communication and feedback, and employee development.

Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase engagement and retention.

Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation.

Manage job description creation process and ensure job descriptions are up to date, legally compliant, and reviewed annually. Works with VP of OD to identify appropriate compensation for each position and compensation structure for the affiliate.

Leads the administrative oversight to assigned HR functional areas (benefits, leaves, HRIS & payroll processing, on-boarding and off-boarding, performance management, personnel policies).

In coordination with the Director of Training, ensure a comprehensive and positive orientation and on-boarding experience for all new hires that prepares staff for their role and leads to increased retention.

Ensure the proper maintenance of employee files to ensure that all required licensure, orientation, and credentialing paperwork is current.

Oversee the HRIS, ensuring proper maintenance of information and data integrity, and develop and report monthly and/or quarterly HR metrics to the leadership team.

What you offer:

Bachelor’s degree in related field with 4 to 6 years related experience.

Or 8 years of related experience in lieu of degree.

One year of management/supervisory experience.

SHRM or HRCI certification.

Advance skill level using MS Office products.

Schedule:

Full-time position working 40 hours per week. Hours may vary. Hybrid position with some in-person work required. Some travel will be required.

Compensation: 

PPSAT's compensation philosophy is based in equity and transparency. Starting offers are determined by both the candidate's experience and internal equity within the pay grade. The pay range for the Director of Human Resources is $86,500.00 to $114,600.00 paid annually.
