Job Title: Bookkeeper/Office Manager

Company Overview:

Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our team. This is a part-time (32 hours/week) and on-site position. The ideal candidate will have a strong aptitude for numbers, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. This role will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, reconciling accounts, and supporting our business as needed.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using QuickBooks
  • Accounts Receivable: Post daily invoices, payments, make bank deposits, send out invoices to clients for payment, follow up past due accounts in a courteous manner, use our point of sale system, pay quarterly sales tax.
  • Accounts Payable: reconcile payments of invoices to vendors, suppliers, landlord, insurance, and send payments in a timely manner to maintain credit standing and obtain discounts.
  • Pay quarterly estimated income taxes.
  • Payroll: process bi-weekly payroll for 10 employees, record vacation and sick days used, process company 401K contributions to employee accounts, pay associated payroll taxes
  • Reconcile bank statement and expenses for month-end closeout reports sent to accountant.
  • HR: point of contact for employees regarding medical plan, retirement account, and setting up new employees.

Secondary Responsibilities:

  • Order office supplies.
  • Act as a back up for phone line when CSRs are absent.
  • Occasionally assist with production. This may only be once a month if we are short handed, and include hand assembling of mailings.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of two years in office management environment
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks (cloud) and Excel.
  • An aptitude for problem solving, attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Good understanding of accounting/bookkeeping principles and practices.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
