Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team. As an Accounts Receivable Clerk, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining accurate financial records, processing invoices, and ensuring timely payment collection. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in corporate accounting, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.

Duties:

- Process and post customer payments accurately and in a timely manner

- Prepare and send out invoices to customers

- Monitor customer accounts for overdue payments and follow up on outstanding balances

- Conduct account analysis to identify discrepancies or issues

- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve billing disputes or discrepancies

- Prepare journal entries related to accounts receivable transactions

- Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions

- Perform other accounting duties as assigned

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred

- Proven experience as an Accounts Receivable Clerk or similar role

-Accounts Receivable

· Chiro Touch experience a plus.

· Creating invoices based on filing codes assigned to medical procedures.

· Submitting claims to insurance companies.

· Sending invoices to patients for remaining balances after insurance payouts.

· Communicating with insurance company representatives to track payments and confirm patient coverage information.

· Investigating denied claims and outstanding patient invoices to ensure the provider receives payment.

· Managing patient payments and updating information over the phone and in person.

· Balancing sent claims and payments received to record the provider’s monthly and quarterly earnings accurately.

· Discretion: Due to sensitivity of the information, they work with medical billers require a high level of discretion and must comply with federally mandated security protocols on health care information as designated by Healthcare Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPPAA)

REQUIREMENTS:

· 5 years of experience

· Using computers, printers, and office equipment.

· Communicating over the phone and in person with patients, practitioners, and fellow billing specialists.
