Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The ideal candidate will support the USPS program.This individual will be responsible for all aspects of the development and implementation of assigned projects and provides a single point of contact for those projects. Takes projects from original concept through final implementation. Interfaces with all areas affected by the project including end users, computer services, and client services. Defines project scope and objectives. Develops detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports. Conducts project meetings and is responsible for project tracking and analysis. Ensures adherence to quality standards and reviews project deliverables. Manages the integration of vendor tasks and tracks and reviews vendor deliverables. Provides technical and analytical guidance to project team. Recommends and takes action to direct the analysis and solutions of problems.

Day to Day Work Responsibilities:

• Manage and coordinate multiple projects to ensure projects are completed on time.
• Organize and plan project tasks and schedules.
• Communicate project status to stakeholders and key project participants.
• Facilitate collaboration across departments to ensure projects are completed successfully.
• Delegate work to team members based on skill and expertise.
• Create presentations and reports to communicate project status.
• Address questions and concerns throughout the project.
• Keep application development team focused on the tasks needed to support the end goal.
• Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, and decompose high-level information into details.
• Work with functional leads to transform and develop new requirements into designs and implementation.
• Develop, maintain, and perform processes to continuously monitor data quality and integrity in platform applications.
• Create and maintain workflows, approval processes, and validation rules based on internal stakeholder requirements.
• This position identifies project goals, objectives, and scope, and creates project plan/documentation that outlines the tasks, timelines, and resources.
• Communicates with the project team and stakeholders, manages risks and issues, and monitors progress to ensure that the project stays on track. Provides reporting to upper management regarding status of the project.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree with 5 years’ experience or high school diploma/GED with 9 years’ experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
• U.S Citizenship or Green Card holder; residing in the U.S for the past five years with no more than 6 months travel outside the U.S. during this time frame.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in managing cross functional teams.
• Proven working experience in project management.
• Experience with Software development life-cycle and Agile Project Management.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent client-facing and internal communications skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills and excellent attention to detail.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, which includes Visio and Teams.
• Experience with project management software tools.
• Able to work independently.
• Excellent communicator, both written and verbal.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
