FedEx Services is Hiring a Senior Supply Chain Project Manager Near Memphis, TN

Designs, develops, and implements supply chain solutions in support of internal/external customers and/or corporate initiatives. Leads the overall solution development as the key interface with Sales, Engineering/Operations, Technology, and other internal resources to align deliverables with overall project goals throughout the project lifecycle. Provides guidance and recommendations that supports the sales process and improves the organization's ability to differentiate and add value to the overall solution and sales strategy for both new and existing customers. Provides supply chain improvement recommendations evaluating the customer supply chain network while applying fact-based analysis and knowledge in transportation modes (parcel, LTL/TL, air freight, ocean, rail) and global shipping requirements. Evaluates customer business needs and industry insights to establish high-level strategy to execute supply chain improvements based on the services and capabilities offered by utilizing Quality tools and processes. May Lead multiple complex assignments concurrently while working individually and/or leading peer/cross functional teams with internal/external customer interaction. Leads brainstorming, review sessions to develop recommendations while ensuring industry best practices and methods are applied to projects. Mentors and provides guidance to less senior team members.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree/equivalent in Business, supply chain, engineering or a related field. Minimum of five (5) years business experience in a supply chain related field to include designing, maintaining, and/or implementation of solutions to complex business situations. Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Leverage relevant technology such as MS Office Applications and internal systems/tools for efficient project management and execution. Strong presentation and facilitation skills. Embraces learning and continual improvement. Ability to present solutions to Sr level customers and internal Leadership. Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills. Strong business acumen. Collaborative individual, able to influence without authority and engage senior leaders and functional partners proactively. Embraces learning and continual improvement.
Special Requirements:
Master's degree in business, supply chain, engineering or a related field plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or 3 years of experience in a supply chain related field to include designing, maintaining, and/or implementation of solutions to complex business situations. The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in business, supply chain, engineering or a related field plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or 5 years of experience in a supply chain related field to include designing, maintaining, and/or implementation of solutions to complex business situations in lieu of a Master's degree plus 3 years of experience. Must have experience in the following: Design and implement complex supply chain solutions in the parcel or freight transportation industry, documenting customer's supply chain activity; Project Management - manage multiple complex projects concurrently to successful results with strong communication, organization, team building and activity planning; Knowledge of global supply chain management and logistics principles. General understanding of supply chain information platforms; Present and facilitate to influence the audience, drive decisions, and ensure clarity; Conduct customer executive strategic and mid-level discovery discussions to extract supply chain motives, capabilities, constraints, and impacts; Organize non-quantitative data (processes, dependencies, influences, etc.) validated by quantitative analysis. Make decisions and formulate recommendations based on quantitative data analysis; international transportation supply chain modes, regulations, and concepts. Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Leverage relevant technology such as MS Office Applications and internal systems/tools for efficient project management and execution. Strong presentation and facilitation skills. Embraces learning and continual improvement. Ability to present solutions to Sr level customers and internal Leadership. Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills. Strong business acumen. Collaborative individual, able to influence without authority and engage senior leaders and functional partners proactively. A related advanced degree may offset the related experience requirements. Position can telecommute from home from any location in the U.S.*Employer will accept one (1) year of directly related experience in lieu of one (1) year of education.*Additional Information
