JOB TITLE : Freight Coordinator / Operations Agent

Schedule / Hours : Monday-Friday 2 : 00-11 : 00pm with the Occasional Saturday

Pay Rate : $20.00 / HR

Physical Location : Atlanta, Georgia 30354

Assignment Duration : Temp to Hire (3 months to perm)

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

• Contracting new carriers
• Negotiating freight rates
• Develop collaborative carrier relationships and work with Account Managers to ensure quality service
• Assigning carriers and providing load tenders
• Find and develop new logistics / freight opportunities and design carrier solutions for other Pilot offices and external customers
• Customer Service duties such as answering phones and emails in a timely manner
• Other duties as assigned

SKILLS / COMPETENCIES :

• Must have experience managing high call and email volume in a logistics environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Detail-oriented with the ability to analyze information skillfully

EXPERIENCE :

At least 1 year of Customer service / freight experience, preferably in the transportation industry

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :

This position requires standing and walking for extended periods of time. Position requires employee to frequently stoop, kneel, crouch, use hands, reach and bend.

Position requires regular use of a phone and a PC and reading and writing of various shipping documents.
