The Job at a Glance
International Business Development Manager (internally known as PARTnership Builder) will participate in the development and execution of a sales and marketing plan to develop our key countries in Latin America, customers, and strategic partnerships. You will build a business plan to maximize profitable growth, prioritize time and resources to fulfill the plan, build communication and other proactive tools with marketing to increase sales, create new business-building opportunities, and successfully lead projects.
A Typical Day
- Learn the markets to help build and execute a growth strategy by leveraging our OEM partnerships, value proposition, and supply chain solutions
- Contact prospective customers through outbound phone calls and emails, and promote Parts Town capabilities and customized solutions to key decision-makers
- Utilize a CRM (Salesforce) for tracking the development of account opportunities, new prospects, and communication details
- When the business need arises, travel to our targeted prospects and customers to further grow partnerships
- Cultivate a network of influential contacts at all levels of customers to achieve sales objectives within assigned customers
- Work collaboratively with inside sales, marketing, and customer experience teams to maximize initiatives by sharing knowledge and developing proactive tools
- Monitor market conditions, product innovations, and competitors’ products, prices, and sales and analyze weekly reports showing sales volume and potential sales
- Use 80/20 best practices to target customer accounts to consistently meet and exceed quarterly and annual sales/profit quota
To Land This Opportunity
- You have 5 years of sales, business development, customer development, or account management experience with some experience in international business
- You are self-motivated, passionate, and hungry to make a big impact!
- You describe yourself as proactive – taking initiative and following through is a must
- You are resilient – you see rejection as an exciting challenge
- You have a passion for building relationships and see each customer interaction as an opportunity to form a personal emotional connection
- You have fantastic communication skills and you’re proficient in English and Spanish (verbal and written)
- You are excited about the ability to travel 20-30% of the time
