Hussmann has a career opportunity for an HR Director, reporting to the Senior Vice President, Human Resources. In this role, you will provide HR leadership for approximately 2000 employees. You will have the opportunity to serve as a strategic business partner to respective leadership teams to create a competitive advantage through people, work collaboratively to develop and implement strategies in the areas of labor/employee relations, compensation, staffing, employee retention, training and development that drive organizational capability. In addition, you will champion and drive critical change issues across the organization.
In this role, your responsibilities will include:
Acting as a strategic business advisor to respective leaders in the areas of organizational design, organizational effectiveness, talent and performance management, total rewards, workforce planning, change management, employee engagement and leadership development.
Contributing to the HR Leadership Team, along with client partner groups, as a thought leader from a Strategic HR perspective.
Developing organization strategies by identifying and researching human resources issues; contributing information, analysis, and recommendations to organization strategic thinking and direction; establishing human resources objectives in line with organizational objectives.
Developing and executing Talent Management plan aligned with business objectives including organizational design, succession planning, talent management, high potential identification and development and strategic talent acquisition.
Managing directly and indirectly an HR team of approximately 10 employees at both manager and individual contributor levels. Leveraging the team to provide overall generalist HR support.
Ensuring a fair and consistent interpretation and application of Company policies, practices, and procedures that create and maintain a positive work environment.
Driving employee and organizational engagement.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organization Development, Business, or related field required. Masters degree strongly preferred.
Minimum of 10 years of progressively increasing HR responsibility.
5 years' experience in a leadership role building and a leading team.
Experience partnering with senior leadership to create and drive strategic HR and key functional organization initiatives.
Experience coaching and advising senior executives on business-critical issues.
Successful background in Labor and Employee Relations required, direct negotiating experience preferred.
Experience working with HVACR technicians is a plus.
Must be a self-starter, experienced at dealing effectively with employees at all levels (i.e., from the shop floor to the C Suite), have excellent relationship/communication skills, and be a demonstrated team player.
Demonstrated ability to actively engage employees and leaders in creating a positive morale and culture
Ability to travel domestically approximately 20% of the time.
