Oscar Wilde is looking for a Kitchen Manager to join our Team. We would like someone who has worked and has experience in American, Mediterranean cuisine. Summary of Position:

Kitchen Manager are responsible for supervising the day to day operations at the restaurant. This includes managing production for all stations, assisting cooks when needed, and supporting the entire kitchen staff controlling food, labor, and operational costs. The Kitchen Manager should be able to manage all aspects of the kitchen in the absence of any staff member . They should have accurate knife skills, the ability to read and follow recipes, train employees, and maintain health department, food quality, and company standards. This is a fast paced environment. This position expects the Chef Manager to fill any holes on the line should emergencies arise. Most important to Assist with our Event Coordinator to make sure events ran smoothly and follow all BEO’S .

Requirements:

-Open availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as requested

-At least 4-5 years cooking in a high-volume kitchen, with at least 2 of those years in a management or supervisory role

-Experience with inventory management and waste control

-Self-motivated, inspiring, positive attitude and eager for growth

-NYC Health Department Certification is a MUST. 

-Knowledge and ability to read Banquet Event Orders to expedite in a timely manner for large orders previously submitted by Event’s Department

-Leadership to guide kitchen flow and staff and delegate prep stations/teams accordingly

-English/Spanish is a requirement
