Required Qualifications:
High School/GED
1 year of clerical/customer service experience. Post-secondary education may substitute for years of required experience.
Use of computers: Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Outlook, Teams, Word). Ability to learn OSU systems including Banner, Slate, AIRS, OKCorral, and Canvas.
Customer service: Ability to organize and handle many tasks simultaneously. A high degree of professionalism, self-motivation, initiative and dedication. Handles confidential matters professionally. Ability to anticipate and troubleshoot issues for administration, faculty and students. Strong oral and written communication. Must be a team player, able to work with a diverse group of individuals. Ability to work with internal and external customers and stay calm in stressful situations to defuse issues. Treats all others with respect and leaves them feeling valued within the department.
Independence: Ability to process information, follow instructions, and complete tasks with minimal supervision. Experience staying focused regardless of surrounding activity and the ability to re-focus quickly after interruptions. Willing to take initiative on tasks without being asked, and recognizes when there is a need to ask questions, ask for assistance, or brainstorm ideas with other members of our team.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Communications, Marketing, Public Relations or related field.
Experience in a university setting.
