NTCA – The Rural Broadband Association is looking for an IT Project Manager to join our IT Department. This position will report to the Sr. Director of IT. You will have the opportunity to oversee highly complex technical projects which are of high financial value to NTCA and require high levels of functional integration. You will also be able to interface with all areas affected by the project including users and vendors. This position is hybrid with office location in Arlington, VA or Asheville, NC. What will you do? Build/plan all aspects of projects including timelines, project task assignment and tracking, cost estimates, coordinate contracts, and manage project budgets. Communicate project expectations; plan, monitor and appraise project tasks; initiate, coordinate and enforce policies and procedures. Evaluate and identify appropriate resources to meet project request considering availability, expertise, schedule, and cost factors. If outsourcing is needed, evaluate the capabilities and limitations of current and potential vendors to meet project requirements. Manage project progress adapting work as required to bring the project in on time and within budget.Identify the most appropriate resources to meet project requests considering availability, expertise, schedule, and cost factors. Recommend additional contract resources as necessary.Manage multiple projects in parallel. Help to bridge any misunderstandings or conflicts that may arise, while continuing to motivate all members of the project team. Assist in the yearly IT project meetings with each division and planning, research and budgeting of the IT yearly project list and project calendar. Produce weekly and monthly project status reports. Be a project management resource for other managers in IT and throughout the association. Responsible for reviewing and assembling end of project documentation, including lessons learned meetings and next steps documentation. Perform other special projects or duties, as required. The ideal candidate will have the following position requirements: Working knowledge of Smart Sheets or other Project Management Software packages. Key NTCA systems such as Association Anywhere, Great Plains, Ariel, Dayforce, CPAS. Proven time management and organizational skills Excellent communicator, communicating clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. Ability to troubleshoot issues and provide quick and accurate course corrections. Able to work independently or as a leader of a group in a fast-paced environment Management of cross departmental enterprise project solutions in a technical environment.
