Accounting Manager

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to join our team. As an Accounting Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing financial operations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing strategic financial guidance. Your expertise in either the Manufacturing or Construction industry will be highly valued.

Responsibilities:

1. Financial Management:

   • Manage day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting.
   • Monitor cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting.
   • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze financial data and make informed business decisions.

2. Financial Reporting and Compliance:

   • Prepare accurate financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
   • Ensure compliance with GAAP and industry-specific accounting standards.
   • Coordinate external audits and tax filings.

3. Cost Analysis and Budgeting:

   • Analyze cost structures, variances, and profitability.
   • Develop and maintain budgets for projects, departments, and overall company operations.

4. Team Leadership:

   • Lead and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance and professional development.
   • Foster a collaborative and efficient work environment.

5. Industry Expertise:

   • Utilize your knowledge of either the Manufacturing or Construction industry to address specific accounting challenges.
   • Understand industry-specific regulations, tax implications, and financial best practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
• Proficiency in accounting software, Microsoft Office, and other relevant tools.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Desired Skills and Experience:

• Experience in either a Manufacturing or Construction environment is considered an asset.
• Knowledge of industry-specific accounting practices.
• Ability to communicate strategically and efficiently.
