Opened in September 2016, this location features self-service ordering systems, traditional dim sum, and a new take on Chinese food. Blending Chinese flavors and American ideas, dishes take a forward-thinking approach.

Overview

Nom Wah seeks a proactive cook to join our Nolita prep and catering team. This is a full-time role that will be dedicated to the preparation of catering and event orders and will also assist the Nolita prep team for on-premise service. This role is ideal for a candidate who can be flexible with different cooking assignments. This position is expected to travel to and from offsite locations to deliver and set-up caterings. Some client-interface will be necessary so, an ability to provide helpful customer service is necessary.

Necessary Experience & Skills

• 1 years of experience in a prep or commissary kitchen preferred
• Catering/event experience or an interest and willingness to learn
• An ability to accommodate a flexible schedule and open availability is required. Mornings, daytime and some evening availability is needed for this position. 
• Must be willing to share workspaces with restaurant prep and kitchen staff
• Must be able to understand food handling safety. NYC Food Handler’s License a plus but not required. 
• Able to provide excellent customer service with deliveries and on-site events
