Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavior Technician to join our team. As a Behavior Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing support and implementing behavior intervention plans for a variety of adult individuals including the populations seeking treatment with mental health and or substance abuse disorders. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of individuals and their families.
Responsibilities:
- Collect and record data on client behavior using specified methods and tools
- Implement behavior intervention plans under the supervision of licensed and or certified professionals.
- Assist with the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans
- Provide direct one-on-one service to clients, following established protocols
- Collaborate with leadership and other team members to monitor progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans
- Assist with crisis management as needed, ensuring the safety and well-being of clients
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records, including medical documentation and progress notes
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain strict confidentiality of client information
- Utilize effective behavior management techniques to promote positive behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors
Skills:
- Strong data collection skills, with the ability to accurately record and analyze behavioral data
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to the position and environment
- Familiarity with social work principles and practices
- Ability to effectively manage crisis situations, remaining calm under pressure
- Experience working with individuals within the scope of services provided.
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain confidentiality of client information
- Proficiency in medical records documentation and maintaining accurate records
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques, including positive reinforcement strategies
