Valley Hospital Phoenix is seeking a dynamic and talented team Lead - Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) to join our team of compassionate, dedicated professionals.

The Lead Behavioral Health Tech assists with planning and implementing activity services for assigned program, which involves defining and implementing treatment goals as a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team and providing continuous patient care, observation, interaction, and role modeling to patients under the direction of a Registered Nurse and Management.

Schedule: This is a full-time, position. 12-hour shifts, 3 days one week, 4 days the next.

We are currently hiring for both day and night positions.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Document and report patient progress/regression to charge nurse
• Know the current status of all the patients on the unit
• Assist in the admission process under the direct supervision of the RN
• Complete non-clinical assignments related to Admissions, transfers, and discharge process

• High School Diploma or GED as well as a combination of behavioral health education and work experience totaling 4 years
• Current CPR or BLS certification
• Successful completion of (SAMA) including restraint and seclusion policies, within 30 days of employment
