Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic administrative volunteer to support our healthcare facility. This volunteer role plays a crucial part in ensuring the smooth operation of our administrative processes, particularly in chart preparation and appointment confirmation. Responsibilities
- Chart Prep
- Merge templates into patient charts
- Assist in preparing charts, ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Collaborate with operations team to manage chart preparation workload effectively
- Appointment Confirmations
- Make confirmation calls or send messages to patients to reduce no shows and ensure appointment attendance
- Create no show tracking entries in the EMR system for missed appointments
- Support in following up on missed appointments to reschedule and update records accordingly
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent, experience in office administration or related field is a plus.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with office software.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Time Commitment: This volunteer position requires a commitment of 16 hours per week, with flexible scheduling options available. Volunteers must adhere to the agreed upon schedule and give notice of scheduling conflicts.
Additional Information: Volunteers will receive training and support to fulfill their responsibilities effectively. While this position is unpaid, it offers valuable experience and the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to the healthcare community.
