National Fish and Wildlife Foundation is Hiring an Application Support Specialist Near Washington, DC

Job Description

Job Description
APPLICATION SUPPORT SPECIALIST

Summary

To support the Foundation’s conservation award-making activities through user support and training for key information systems hosted by NFWF, primarily the new enterprise grants management system (ibis) and associated applications.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide day-to-day support for Foundation information systems, including ibis (SmartSimple), Easygrants, CRM, and other applications as directed.
  • Serve as application administrator for ibis (SmartSimple), Easygrants, and other information systems when applicable.
  • Design and conduct orientation and supplemental system training for Foundation staff.
  • Serve as primary helpdesk support contact for end-user applications, internally and externally, including tracking and reporting on the status of tickets in the Jira support queue.
  • Develop and maintain documentation necessary to facilitate usage and adoption of applications, including user and admin guides. Routinely review documentation for accuracy.
  • Work with Foundation staff to develop and maintain workflow configuration for new and active Funding Opportunities in Easygrants.
  • Assist with testing and deployment activities in information systems.
  • Assist with other Information Technology tasks as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS)

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Two to four years of relevant experience; some customer service experience preferred.
  • Ability to respond quickly and accurately to requests for information.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work and meet deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through skills.
  • Flexibility in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Ability to resolve conflict effectively, hold information in confidence, and cooperate with colleagues and grantees who may have other perspectives.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Experience with SharePoint desired.
  • Experience with IT ticketing systems, e.g., Atlassian Jira desired.

COMPENSATION

Commensurate with experience.
