mtminc is Hiring a HR Generalist Near Boston, MA

What Will Your Job Look Like? The HR Generalist will support the organizations vision and goals by assisting with coaching, training, guidance, and policy interpretation to employees and leadership. This position is a work from home role and target location is anywhere on the East Coast. This role will assist in supporting People & Culture policies and programs and will ensure compliance with federal and state employment regulations. The HR Generalist will provide consultation, training and constructive conflict resolution for and between the leadership and employees. The HR Generalist will ensure compliance with all State and Federal regulations, as well as internal policies and procedures. This position is a work from home role. What You’ll Do: Develop and conduct trainings for Company Staff regarding compliance with Company polices, trends and other HR topics as needed Acquire and maintain a thorough knowledge of employee relations principles, practices, procedures, strategies, and trends Partner with Leadership on all local, employee relations activities Ensure compliance with all state, local, federal regulations Conduct workplace investigations Manage the Disciplinary Action, Performance Improvement Plans (PIP), and termination process Maintain up-to-date knowledge of MTM and MTM Transit policies, employment law, and common HR practices Ongoing delivery of HR Related Information Maintain a collaborative & positive working relationship throughout the organization Manage relationships with assigned employees and leadership, and conduct monthly communications with those Leaders What You’ll need: High School Diploma or GED Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent work experience 5 years’ experience in HR/Employee Relations or similar role Strong knowledge of human resources policies/procedures and knowledge of local, state, and federal employment/labor laws Even better if you have... Ability to use sound judgment around issues that may have adverse effects on the business from an employee relations perspective Ability to handle a high level of sensitive and confidential matters tactfully and professionally Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Ability to work well under pressure and in stressful situations within a fast-paced environment Ability to work independently and also collaboratively with others to achieve defined goals, handle inquiries, and resolve issues within a timely and constructive manner Demonstrated experience and skill in conducting workplace investigations, analyzing information in relation to the relevant employment laws, collective bargaining agreements, trends, policies and procedures, and use sound judgment to draw valid conclusions and/or recommendations Knowledge of and ability to understand and apply federal and state employment and labor laws (e.g., EEO, OSHA, FMLA, FLSA) Consultative and customer service orientation with all levels of employees Strong focus on customers, accountability, teamwork, collaboration and decisiveness Experience recruiting at all levels Experience with negotiating, counseling, and conflict management Strong critical thinking, problem solving, and analytical skills Strong attention to detail Strong and effective communication skills Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite What’s in it for you: Health and Life Insurance Plans Dental and Vision Plans 401(k) with a company match Flexible Scheduling Paid Time Off and Holiday Pay Maternity/Paternity Leave Birthday Holiday Casual Dress Environment Tuition Reimbursement MTM Perks Discount Program Milestone Anniversary One Month Sabbatical Leadership Mentoring Opportunities Salary Min: 65,000 Salary Max: 95,000 This information reflects the base salary pay range for this job based on current national market data.
