The Accounts Payable Analyst is responsible for the review and process of merchandise invoices
with high level of accuracy and verify that they have been properly coded and entered into the A/P
system for payment. This is a hybrid role, reporting out of our Headquarters office (Rockville, MD).
Responsibilities:
● Meet invoice quantity processing minimum quota with less than 5% error rate.
● Review, process, and file merchandising invoices for payment, ensuring accuracy and proper
coding.
● Follow up with vendors, store managers, and other employees to resolve open issues and
discrepancies for statement reconciliation.
● Apply cash and check payments within the proper deadlines.
● Oversee accounts payable help desk inquiries within set timelines.
● Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
● Associate’s or equivalent experience
● 0-1 year’ related experience
● Previous retail/merchandise experience
● Excellent attention to detail, especially with communication (written and verbal) and
meeting deadlines
● Ability to prioritize tasks that change frequently and manage unexpected demands
● Dependable, follows instructions and takes initiative to solve problems
● Interest in company culture and desire to grow in the field
● Experience in a fast-paced work environment
The following skills are desired, but not required:
● Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
● 1 years’ experience in field or career
● Proficiency with automated A/P systems and Excel
● Experience with Medius and Microsoft Dynamics 365
● Experience with Google Suite & Microsoft Office
