Position Summary

Responsible for the execution and integrity of all accounting activities including, developing strong financial reporting infrastructure which supports operational decision making, performance, and risk management; preparation of all financial reporting for the Company, including all consolidated management, external and taxation reporting.

The ideal candidate is an action-oriented self-starter, with strong analytical skills to support strategic business initiatives. This individual must be detail oriented down to a transaction level while also juggling competing priorities. A future-focused leader who can partner with, yet challenge employees and executives at all levels will be most successful.

Essential Functions

• Prepare journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations as part of month end close for various accounts.
• Prepare monthly consolidated financial reporting in accordance with US-GAAP, leveraging reports maintained in Modumetal’s ERP (NetSuite)
• Ownership of financial processes in NetSuite ERP coordinating with other functions
• Manage the budget and financial projection process in support of board of directors meetings and actuals vs budget reporting on a monthly basis
• Participate in cross-functional Continuous Improvement projects. Document proposed process improvements, leading to an improvement in operational accounting performance.
• Train and develop one direct report.
• Interface with management in various departments, including, human resources, sales operations, IT, accounts receivable, purchasing, finance, and accounts payable.
• Cross-training on all accounting areas and other areas of the business including finance, pricing, inventory, and operations.
• Manage HR processes including onboarding, offboarding, payroll and benefits selection
• Other responsibilities as directed.

Qualifications (Education/Experience)

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related area or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum 7 years of experience with 5 years in Accounting and Reporting.
• Public Accounting desirable, but not required
• CPA/CMA desirable, but not required
• Strong GAAP and financial reporting skills, accounting designation
• Strong ability to speak and write concisely and effectively and communicate in a timely fashion.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment.
• Previous financial experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• NetSuite or comparable ERP experience preferred.
• High level of proficiency with Excel and Microsoft Office Programs.
• Strong knowledge of Finance.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to build strong relationships.
